“I had to put up a fence because people were coming into the yard and using drugs,” says Jamie Lundie, a local businessman who has worked in the area for nearly 30 years. “I found needles in there.”
Since the opening of Glasgow’s first supervised drug consumption room at the Thistle Centre on January 13, the city has been caught between two realities—hope and hesitation.
