Residents voice concerns over Rainbow Mural
Neighbours feel excluded from the decision-making process

Concerns have emerged over the Rainbow flag murals painted on the ground in Merchant City, with some residents expressing feelings of exclusion from the decision-making process.
A disabled resident has also raised safety concerns regarding the current pavement design.
The murals—Rainbow Street on Wilson Street and Rainbow Place on Virginia Place—were created to promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity ahead of the Pride March on July 20 and the Merchant City Festival from July 19-21.

A Glasgow City Council spokesman confirmed that the £8000 Wilson Street mural was fully funded by the City Centre Mural Trail Fund, like the other murals on the trail.
