Community Raise Alarm Over Permit Proposals

Furious residents in Dennistoun have accused Glasgow City Council of using “excuse after excuse” to squeeze more money from them through proposed controversial new parking permits and meters—despite what they claim is a failure to enforce existing traffic rules.
One woman fumed: “They’re just making excuse after excuse to bring in more permits and meters so they can get more money off us every month.”
Meanwhile, in a separate Traffic Regulation Order announced yesterday, the council has also proposed introducing a bus lane on Alexandra Parade.
